Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I use WATTS?

WATTS allows for the creation of a personal independent power plant from any available source of energy (solar panels, wind generators). It's as easy as turning on the TV, just plug it in the socket and press the power button.

We offer you the opportunity to be independent from energy companies, power line accidents, power supply failures, etc.

WATTS is an environmentally friendly energy source, just attach solar panels to it and say NO to harmful emissions from fuel power plants!

How much power does WATTS provide?

we made a chart to help recognise how many and for how long, but this chart is only indicative, parametrs may vary for US and EU

How durable are WATTS?

We are confident in the high quality of our products, so we offer you a guarantee for 7 years from the date of purchase of the product.

What’s the deal with battery lifecycle?

Our engineers ensure that lithium-ion batteries installed in WATTS can withstand up to 4000 cycles! This will allow you to use one battery much longer than other manufacturers.

More information:

The lifecycle of a battery is the number of charge/discharge cycles a battery can perform until its nominal capacity is reduced to a certain value. In modern batteries, this value is 70-80%. After the end of the life cycle, the battery does not stop working, but loses a certain percentage of its capacity. Modern lead-acid batteries are designed for 200-300 cycles, standard lithium - for 500-800 cycles.

How do I know if my device can work with WATTS?

If your device is powered by AC 120V/60Hz or 230V/50Hz and powered by USB (DC 5V), then it will work from WATTS. US and EU products have different output parameters. For more specifics, check what output power your device has. You can find the power value on the device marking, in the user guide, or on the Internet.
For US/EU market:
If the output power of your device is less than or equal to 1kW/1,5kW, it will work perfectly from WATTS without limitation.
If the output power of your device exceeds 1kW/1,5kW, it can work from one WATTS unit only if WATTS is connected to a socket. If you use WATTS without an electric network, the internal battery will not withstand the load and the built-in protection will turn off WATTS. In order to prevent this from happening, we recommend you to purchase another WATTS unit. Because the two WATTS units can supply devices with output power up to 2 kW/3kW, and three WATTS already 3 kW/4,5kW, etc. So you will be able to provide even the most powerful requirements for devices

I did not find the answer to my question, how can I reach you?

Feel free to write to us in the contact form or by e-mail: hello@wattsbattery.com

How is WATTS managed?

Use our mobile app! It allows you to see all statistics: the charge, energy consumption, time of usage. Data transfers between WATTS and your mobile device via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

What type of battery is used in WATTS?

WATTS is a modern third-generation lithium-ion batteries (Li-ion) with an extended life cycle. The energy density of Li-ion batteries usually twice exceeds the density of traditional lead-acid batteries. Thus, it is possible to store a large amount of energy with a low mass of the battery pack.

How long should I charge the WATTS?

It depends on how you are going to charge it.

If you plug it into a wall socket, then it takes about 4 hours to completely charge your device. If you charge WATTS from PV (solar) panels, the charging time ranges from 4 to 6 hours depending on the power of the connected PV-panels.

How long will WATTS hold charge when not in use?

Your WATTS will retain charge for over 5-6 months. But we strongly recommend you to recharge WATTS every 3-4 months to keep the battery pack in working condition. This will increase battery lifespan.

Do you have a dealer program? I want to become a supplier.

We certainly do! If you are interested in becoming our supplier, please email us at:

Where can WATTS be installed?

Anywhere! As long as you have a flat horizontal surface.

Just follow our advice:

Use WATTS away from children and pets
Protect WATTS from water and dust - don’t place vases on your device!
Choose a place with no sudden temperature changes to avoid water vapor condensation inside your WATTS.
Don’t place flammable materials directly next to the device.
Make sure the ventilation outlets are open, clean and at least 20 cm away from any other objects.

Where is WATTS manufactured?

Our product is developed by a professional team of globally distributed engineers and programmers, and is produced at a certified factories in US, Europe and ASIA.

Is WATTS waterproof?

Right now it’s not, but our engineers are working hard to provide a higher degree of protection!

How can users register their WATTS?

You can register your device in the mobile app. Just fill out the registration form and confirm the email address.

How do I activate my warranty?

To get a full 7-year warranty, you need to register WATTS in APP on your smartphone and provide a permanent Internet connection.

Why is WATTS beeping?

It means there are some errors arising from the operation of the unit.

When the components overheat, there is a red indicator on the top panel, a sound signal, and WATTS switches off within 10 seconds. Just let it cool for 30 minutes and you can turn it back on. If the same error come up twice, please contact customer service.

If the connected load exceeds the value of 1.5kW, the red overload indicator lights up and there is a sound signal. You should simply reduce or turn off part of the load for 7 seconds.

When other faults occur, the red error indicator lights up and there is a sound signal. In this case, contact customer service for further instructions.

Some lights are flashing on the WATTS. What does it mean?

There is nothing to worry about - that is how your WATTS signals its status. Find out what the flashing of each indicator means in the user instructions chapter “display panel” (you can find it in the mobile app or on the website)

Can I connect to my WATTS without a Wi-Fi network?

Yes, you can connect to your WATTS via the mobile app using Bluetooth.

I want to connect several WATTS to the app, how can I distinguish them?

To connect a new WATTS unit, follow the initial setup procedure: turn it on, click the “add device” button in the mobile app, find the connected WATTS via Bluetooth and connect it in the app. You can rename your WATTS block as you wish.

How do I update the software of my WATTS?

When a new firmware for WATTS appears, you will see a notification in your mobile app. You can choose when to update the software.

I forgot my account password, what should I do?

Just use the password recovery form in the application and follow on-screen instructions. If you have any problems, please contact our technical support.

How can WATTS help me save money?

You can charge your WATTS during low demand hours (cheap night tariff), and reduce power consumption from the grid during peak demand hours by switching to power from the built-in battery.

If you have solar panels or a wind turbine, you can reduce both consumption from the network and your bills. Or even disconnect from the network by producing your own clean energy.

Can I take WATTS with me on the plane / car / train?

According to the existing rules of air transportation, you can’t take WATTS with you on a plane. Airlines do not agree to carry such capacious batteries on the board.

But you can certainly take your WATTS with you on the train or in a car. Just don't forget to pull the fuse out and turn off the device before transporting WATTS!

Are solar panels included?

No, there are no solar panels in the basic package. You should purchase them separately.

Can I plug WATTS into the electrical switch box myself?

We care about your safety and strongly recommend that you contact a qualified technician specialist to connect WATTS to the electrical switch box of your home/apartment.

Experts will be able to ensure correct connection of the device, so you can then safely enjoy all the benefits of your WATTS.
